I know this community hasn't been active for a while, but I figured I would try to see if anyone could answer some of my questions...

I'm headed to the AUC for the spring semester, and I was wondering what people thought of their experiences there; is there anything that I either must do or must avoid? Any teachers/classes to avoid? How are the dorms; should I look into getting an apartment? More personally, is it fesable to take a regular courseload (5 classes) and language classes as well?

Thanks for all your help!

It is absolutely ok to 'friend' me - I'll be here, so yeah, if you need anything when you get here or need someone to show you around and such, I'll be here. (the layout of the school, and Egypt in general, is frickin' insane, but you get used to it after a while) I started my lj when I got to Egypt, purely for the purpose of recording my year here- so if you want to read through it and get a slight idea of what Egypt has been like for an American Jewish female, go for it. :) I'd love to hang out some time when you get here! see you in Spring then, I guess, though of course that's no reason not to contact each other anyway!! Ma'Salamma :)

AUC alum

Hey, I was at AUC some 15 years ago (also a Jewish female, who lived in the dorms). Can I friend you to read up on your experiences? I'm curious to know how it is now.
